"During my study aboard in Jordan - though surrounded by pastel skies, otherworldly deserts, ancient ruins against modern cityscapes - I couldn't help but notice how the hustle and bustle of everyday life was impacted by climate change. Jordan is one of the most water-scarce countries in the world. Each year, the Dead Sea gets hotter and rainfall becomes more rare. Through this abstract depiction of the Wadi Rum and Dead Sea, I hope to raise awareness about the pressing environmental challenges facing Jordan and the Middle East."
