Limelight // Forbidden Fruit

"I am an American from a military family currently living in Germany. The global issue my work regards is cancel culture and the media. The creature in the center, emitting limelight (the attention of the public eye) represents society, which is reaching for the forbidden fruit, which equates to doing whatever it takes to get attention, even if that attention is negative. One of many examples happening right this moment is Kanye West. The wasp perched upon the fruit represents the dangers that come from these actions and how they can leave a permanent “sting” on ones reputation."
